About
About me
Hello there! I am Kyratech, a queer trans woman who has recently been described by one of her friends as:
“A wonderful lil marshmallow with a penchant for lethal heavy machinery.”
And if that isn’t the nicest thing that anyone has ever said about another person, then I don’t know what is.
My specs:
Component | Model |
---|---|
OS | Woman, but like, a niche distro of it. |
Case | Aftermarket kitbash of parts that I found in a bin outside of the robot shop. |
Power supply | Kinetic generator powered by pure distilled stubborness. |
Memory | Faulty, I mostly rely on paging. |
Sound card | It doesn’t have a brand name, but it’s very out of date and I overclocked it. |
About this website
I made this website to serve as both a place to host the myriad of creative things that I make, and as a creative thing in its own right!
Development
This website was developed on my personal computer, which I built in 2022. It was designed to be my all-in-one creative and gaming machine, taking advantage of the fact that GPUs had just about returned to their MSRP.
Specs:
Component | Model |
---|---|
CPU | AMD Ryzen 5700G |
Motherboard | MSI MAG B550M MORTAR Micro ATX |
Memory | 32GB |
GPU | MSI RTX 3060 Ti VENTUS 3X LHR |
OS | Pop!_OS (Linux) and Windows 10 dual boot |
If you’re hoping for a recommendation on any of this hardware, then I’m afraid that you’ve come to the wrong girl. It all works great, but the only benchmarks I put my computers through is “how many chunks can I render in Minecraft”.
On the other hand, I can recommend all the software that I used to make this website:
- Visual Studio Code: All development.
- Clip Studio Paint: 2D banner images.
- Blender: 3D banner images.
- Krita: Image processing and additional visual assets.
- Inkscape: Vector art.
Hosting
This website is currently hosted in a S3 bucket. I don’t exactly like AWS, but behind the scenes most other providers rely on it anyway. I had the skills to set up S3 hosting from my day job in web dev, so I might as well make use of it.
