Corfe Castle

I originally painted this for my parents.

I kind of regret using a reference image from the internet for this one, because I wasn’t sure exactly what some shadows on the castle were. It’s always best to capture your own references, because then you can understand the subject better and make artistic decisions about angles and framing. Unfortunately, when I decided to paint this picture, I didn’t have any existing pictures to use and there were no opportunities to visit again.
