(HG) MAILeS Byakuchi

Though gundams are undoubtedly cool, my personal tastes in giant robots leans towards the “real robot” style. I prefer designs that look like heavy machinery over those that more closely resemble humans in armour. As such, the design language of the Kyoukai Senki series really appeals to me.

Customisation!

For this model, I decided to replace the yellow and blue colour scheme with a two-tone blue livery. As such, I have painted most of the parts in this kit, making it my most extensive custom yet. I even gave some free-hand painting a go on the shield! It’s a little wobbly, but I am proud of it nonetheless.

I also decided to lightly customise the head by snipping off extraneous details.
